Newsflash! Voters are stupid.

A recent Cornell University study suggests what I have known all along: voters are not intelligent enough to pick good leaders.

The gist of it can be summed up in a few words: "incompetent people are inherently unable to judge the competence of other people".

What this means is that the stupidity of a country's democratically-elected leaders can be directly correlated to the stupidity of the voters themselves.

  1. So then the answer to better government is better education, right?

  2. Better education, or a benevolent dictator. Of the two, I'd pick better education.
